About Me
I am almost 40- I have 2 kids, a 17-year-old son, and a surprise 3-month-old daughter. I am also a bonus mom to 2 girls! I got my life coaching certification in 2022 and I am in school to be a social worker. I am also Band Booster president for the marching band that my son is in at school!
What is a life coach? Are you a therapist? What is the difference?
Basically, a life coach helps clients build a vision for their future- and then help them evolve into the kind of person that lives that life!
No, I am not a therapist (not yet at least). I do not have the credentials just yet- that is one of the reasons I am going to school for social work!
The difference between a life coach and a therapist is that a life coach can't diagnose a mental health disorder. Therapists are also trained to treat mental illness or other significant emotional and relational concerns.
My Qualifications
While I have a lot of life experiences that have led me to the point where I wanted to use them to help others- I got my life coaching certification from Health Coach Institute and I am doing my bachelor's study through Youngstown State University. I have also been in therapy for over 10 years- working on myself and my healing journey!
